Abbottabad Campus became functional in July 2001, and the first academic session started in September 2001.CIIT founded in the belief that understanding enriches all people, is dedicated to the search for truth through advancement of learning and extending the frontiers

Department of Computer Science

The department of Computer Science was established in 1999 at Islamabad and enrolled the pioneer students in Fall 1999. The department made a modest beginning and is now proud of its excellent facilities and internationally qualified faculty members along with its peer departments at Lahore, Wah, Abbottabad, Attock & Sahiwal. These departments were established in April 2002, September 2001, March 2004 & September 2007, respectively. The Department aims to impart competitive skills in effective development and application of modern technology. We groom our students as excellent programmers, outstanding researchers, extra ordinary analysts and innovative designers. We are aware of everyday breakthroughs in modern technology and thus committed to equipping and imparting our students with advanced competencies required to manage the growing needs of sciences and technology; especially computer sciences, in almost every professional field today.
