development project worth Rs. 470 million has been approved
which will provide 4 buildings, 7 engineering labs, 2
environment science labs, 5 computer science lab, equipment and
books. Master plan of the campus is also completed. We are
planning to complete this project in 3 years. Altogether Rs.
817.131 million development projects has been approved for the
campus reflecting hard work by the concerned in Abbottabad,
under the dynamic leadership of the Director. The Campus has worked
hard on future plans and by 2015, it is planned to increase

2005 when last convocation was held, the Department of
Environmental Sciences has planned a series of International
Conferences every 2 years. 1st conference was held in 2005 and
second in 2007 and third will be held in 2009. 141 delegates

prepared by students from various universities participated and
competed. Department of Mathematics organized Symposium on
Computational complexities. Department of Computer Science
arranged software exhibition, which was widely participated by
Software houses and Universities.
The Department of
Computer Sciences arranged conferences on annual basis on

The campus has exerted
in carrying out research and publications in national and
international referred research journals. During 2007, 42
research papers have been published in HEC recognized journals,
53 papers have been submitted and 49 are under submission. I am
pleased to inform the audience that CIIT acquired 7th position
in research productivity during 2006 as ranked by HEC. The
Engineering program was ranked 8th in Pakistan by HEC.
Quality in education is
a prime concern of the campus. The campus has invested a lot in
human resource development. Faculty is continuously motivated to
participate in scholarship programmes by HEC or other agencies.
CIIT has also provided scholarships and some faculty members
proceeded at their own expense. Total 63 faculty members are
perusing MS or PhD programs in various universities all over the
world. The first batch will start returning from 2008.
The Campus has also
established research collaboration with 10 international
universities. 4 from Great Britain, 2 from USA, 1 each from
Norway, Italy, Germany & Czech Republic.
Now the vision and
future plan well aligned with the national goals and objectives
